2026 MEET & GREETS

Come meet our available Greyhounds on

Saturday January 10, 2026 at PetSmart on 
Morrell Road in Knoxville, TN from 12:00 PM
until 2:00 PM.  We hope to have a several of

our recently retired girls and boys for you to

meet in and talk with the foster parents in attendance.

We will be PetSmart on Morrell Road in Knoxville, TN from 12:00 PM 

until 2:00 PM.  We hope to have a few recently retired girls and

boys for you to meet in attendance.

With weather permitting, we will gather some of the

available Greyhounds and enjoy some wonderful BBQ at

Phil's Dream Pit, 534 Eastern Star Rd, Kingsport, TN 37663. 

Come and enjoy a social event with Greyhounds and friends.

We will have our retired fosters at PetSmart on Morrell Road

in Knoxville, TN from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM.  We hope to

Laurel Run Park—364 Laurel Run Park Rd, Church Hill, TN, Pavilion 10
From Johnson City, about 45 minutes/From Knoxville, about 90 minutes

What to expect: Catered Lunch, Silent Auction, Live Auction, Games, Memorial, Companionship and fun!

Catering by PHIL’S DREAM PIT. Lunch includes chicken and pulled-port BBQ,

two side dishes, and dessert. Tickets required. **Bring your own drinks!**

Advance tickets: $12 Adults, $8 Children 10 and under. $50 family special.

Checks must be received by Wednesday, May 14 to receive this price.

We’ll have tickets ready for you at the park.
Day of Event: $15 Adults, $10 Children 10 and under.

We will have a Meet and Greet at GYPSY CIRCUS CIDER,

2645 Fort Henry Drive, Kingsport, TN from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM.

 

Bring your fur babies out for our PET COSTUME CONTEST at

Gypsy Circus Cider and visiting with our adoptable greyhounds. 

The new fosters will be on the website once their vet process

has been completed.

GRFT'S 25th Anniversary Reunion.   

 

We celebrated our 25 years of working with rehoming

retired Greyhounds.  With over 2,100 successfully

placed in special loving homes we celebrate with all the love

we have shared with our GRFT family and the Greyhounds.

​

More information to follow but a sneak preview for your calendar

is Louisville Point Park, food, games and socializing.  Your entire

family is invited, 2 and 4 legged.

Saturday, November 8, 2025 

Due to the lack of available fosters in the Knoxville area, we

are CANCELLING the November Meet and Greet at PetSmart 

Knoxville, TN.   

There are several newly retired Greyhounds that

will be in attendance at the Kingsport M&G Saturday.
 

The M&G in Kingsport is at Phil's Dream Pit, 534 Eastern 

Star Road, Kingsport, TN.  Come meet the newly retired Greyhounds

and their foster parents from 11:00 until 2:00 and enjoy a delicious

BBQ meal with all the fixins.

Saturday, December 12, 2026 

We hope to have our retired fosters at PetSmart on Morrell Road

in Knoxville, TN from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM on a Saturday in

December.  With the airline situation we have not been able to 

receive the planned Australian retirees.  We will continue to pick

up retirees from West Virginal in the meantime.
